BURHMAN WILLIS JOHNSTON, 72, of Hagerstown MD, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at his home. Born August 5, 1941, in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Burhman Willis Johnston Sr. and Agnes Irene Powell Johnston. Burhman is preceded by his wife, Ella Laraine Johnston who died April 12, 2013. Burhman served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by two sons, Shawn Johnston from Rockville, MD and Darek Johnston and his wife, Jennifer, from NJ; one daughter, Tammy Gettig and her husband, Damon from Hagerstown; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one brother, Dennis Lee Johnston. Services will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1037 Haven Rd., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
