Obituary

Bryan Scot Parlett, 25, of Hagerstown, MD, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, CA. He was loved dearly by his family, long time girlfriend, and friends and will be greatly missed. Born August 11, 1989 in Hampton, VA, he was the son of Sandra Parlett Dorsey and Robert A. Wright II. Bryan attended North Hagerstown High and Hagerstown Community College. Throughout his younger years, he was a star athlete, playing soccer, baseball, football, and basketball. He had a passion for sports like no other and his bright green eyes would light up when he spoke of his Steelers and Orioles. He could impressively tell you every score, the name of every player of any team, every commentator. He charmed so many with his big heart, sense of humor, and compassion. He had the ability to make anyone smile. Although it does not take the heartache away, his loved ones know that they will forever have a guardian angel looking over them. He is survived by his younger sisters, Raen A. Wright, Jasmyne A. Wright and Rachele A. Wright; grandparents, Kenneth and Sandra Parlett; Aunt Cindy Shafer; cousin Bradley Shafer Sr.; and girlfriend of eight years, Kayla Garvin. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown, MD 21740. A short service will follow officiated by Reverend Robert V. Robinson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Parlett family at 1128 Beechwood Drive, Hagerstown, MD 21742 or online here: http://gfwd.at/1JEVMam.
