Bruce Ivan Neibert Jr., 73, of Waynesboro, PA passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. He was born on January 21, 1953 to the late Bruce Ivan Neibert Sr. and Dorothy Ebersole Neibert.
Bruce spent the first half of his life as a dairy farmer before discovering a hobby that quickly turned to a career in scrap metal recycling. He owned Neibert's Farm Salvage and Recycling and for several years drove a truck for Hub Scrap as well. Bruce did his best to help others whenever he could and he had a huge heart for children and animals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in rest by his son, Michael Bruce Neibert, his brother-in-law, Duwayne Fox, and many beloved dogs over the years.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Anne Neibert, his daughters, Melissa Kmetz (Greg Widdick) and Sherrie Carr (Andy), his daughter-in-law, Casey Souders (Aaron), his grandchildren, Bryce Johnson, Christopher Kmetz, Jansen Carr, Cadence Neibert, Dylan Kmetz, Caeley Souders, Cara Souders, and Tucker Carr, his great-grandchildren, Autumn Johnson, Kenzleigh Johnson, and Brent N. Johnson, his brother, David Neibert (Kim), his sisters, Blanche DeMartino (Rich) and Mary Fox, many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and his cherished dog, Cow.
Family and friends are welcomed for a visitation on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard in Hagerstown.
A service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 1:00pm at the funeral home.
Interment will be held at Green Hill Cemetery, 953 S Potomac Street, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
Guests are encouraged to dress casually, as Bruce would have wanted everyone to be comfortable.
