In Loving Memory: It is with great sorrow that the family announces that Beverly Marie Schwartz (Bev), beloved wife, mother, and sister, passed away on Wednesday, Dec 13, 2017 at MedStar Washington Medical Center. She was 70 years old. Bev was known to her family and the Hagerstown community as a loving caretaker and friend; serving many with phone calls, visits, providing cleaning and taking care of pets, as well as writing and sending loving cards and letters. She could often be found taking care of her home garden in the spring. Bev is survived by her husband Walter Schwartz, her daughters Beverly and Christina, her sisters Georgia Jones and Susan McGonigal, and her grandson Christian Soper. She desired to be cremated and will be memorialized at the Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Hagerstown. Memorial services will be held at the will and need of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the ASPCA or any other organization that provides care for the ill or animals in need.
