BEVERLY CLAUDINE HARBAUGH, 78, of Hagerstown, MD, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 26, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family surrounding her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed. Born August 25, 1939 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Elva M. Wilson Vance. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Harbaugh on November 4, 2010. She was a member of Church of Christ in Hagerstown. She held strong to her faith in her loving God during her illness. Beverly loved working with children. She enjoyed giving her time to help others and will be remembered for her compassion for other people. She enjoyed life to the fullest. Her smile was contagious and made friends wherever she went. She is survived by two daughters Julia Mentzer and husband Dwayne, Shelly Harmon; four grandchildren Megan Davis, Caitlin Harbaugh, Taylor Harmon and Bria Harmon; two great grandchildren Max Davis and Memphis Schill; step-great granddaughter Molly Wolford; three brothers Charles Vance, Richard Vance and wife Virginia, and Ronald Vance and wife Debbie. She was preceded in death by many loving brothers and sisters. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Church of Christ at Hagerstown, 10014 White Hall Road, Hagerstown. Pastor Mike Foster will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd, from 7 to 9 p.m. and from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
