BEVERLY ELLEN GIGEOUS, 85, formerly of 16328 Mt. Tabor Road, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro, Maryland. Born January 23, 1926 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William Edward and Hazel E. Newcomer Bloom. She was a life long member of Salem Reformed Church. She loved to garden. She is survived by her husband of forty years, Gerald Earnest Gigeous, Sr.; one son, David Williams, and wife, Kay, of Rockville, Maryland; two daughters, Diane M. Starliper, and husband, Gary Starliper, of Hagerstown, and Denise E. Grab, and husband Charles Grab, Jr., of Hagerstown; one sister, Josephine E. Burkett, and husband, Ernest Burkett, of Hagerstown; grandchildren, Kate Loatman, Mark Williams, Donald Smith, Michael Smith, Amber Watkins, Charles Grab III, Leah Grab, and Grace Grab; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; step-sons, Gerald E. Gigeous, Jr., and wife, Gina, of Charles Town, West Virginia, and Terry Gigeous, and wife, Alissa, of Carlisle, Pennylvania, step-daughter, Debbie Snyder of Hagerstown; and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George V. Williams, Jr.; two sisters, Rosalie Bloom, and Barbara Rowe; one brother, William Bloom, and step-daughter, Barbara Meacomes. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Salem Reformed Church. The Rev. Steve Wagoner will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Reformed Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown on Friday from 6 to 8 p. m.
