BETTY KAY WILHIDE, 53, of 213 Devonshire Road, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital. Born July 24, 1954 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Joyce Lorraine Franko Minnich. She was employed with the Western Maryland Hospital for twenty years. She is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Wayne D. Wilhide, whom she married on May 14, 1971; two daughters, Carol M. Stride, and husband Gabriel, and Stacy L. Shanholtz, and husband Josh, all of Hagerstown; one son, Timothy W. Wilhide, at home; one sister, Brenda Ross of Hagerstown; one brother, Gary Minnich of Williamsport, Maryland, and Steve Everhart of Hagerstown; three grandchildren, Brandon Stride, Paige Shanholtz, and Destiny Shanholtz; mother-in-law, Irene Wilhide of Keedysville, Maryland; and brother-in-law, Dennis Wilhide of Keedysville, Maryland. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p. m.
