Betty Jane "Miss Betty" Waters, 93, of Sharpsburg, MD, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Homewood at Williamsport. Born August 31, 1923 in Sharpsburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Clipp) DeLauney. Miss Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Waters in 2006. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Miss Betty is survived by one daughter, Lisa Burker and companion, Darin Shifler, of Sharpsburg; one step-daughter, Sharon Helton of OH; two step sons, Dennis Waters of Hagerstown, and Gary Waters of OH; and special grandson, John Souders and wife, Keli. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Lynda Norris; one sister, Agnes Flook; one brother, Donald DeLauney; and one granddaughter, Karen Diane Souders. Graveside service will be held 11am, Friday, March 3, 2017 at Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg, MD.
