BETTY JANE SANDERA, 87, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at her home. Born March 14, 1928 in Smithsburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Carl T. and Mildred Shank Myers. She retired from Statton Funiture with 24 years of service. She was a former member of the Women of the Moose. Betty is survived by her husband, Harold (Sandy) Sandera of Hagerstown, MD; one daughter, Gloria McCarney of Greencastle, PA; three grandchildren, Denise Kephart and husband, Mike of Greencastle, PA, Terry L. McCarney and wife , Wanda of Shippensburg, PA, and Gina Avard of Mercersburg, PA; six great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way. Services will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Bill Divelbiss will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, July 13, 2015 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences will be accepted at www.minnichfh.com.
