Betty Jane Oliver, 95, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Hagerstown Healthcare Center.

Born November 11, 1930, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Luther J. and Elton L. (Barr) Moats.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Millard Oliver.

Betty enjoyed working in her garden and spending time in the kitchen, especially baking and making fudge. She was also a devoted fan of Elvis Presley and loved listening to his music.

Betty is survived by her son, Duane Oliver, Sr. and his wife, Angela; her grandchildren, Duane Oliver, Jr. and Felicia Oliver; and her nieces and nephews, Sharon Koogle, Robert Hose, Larry Hose, Dana Grove, and Patrick Grove.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Jesse Grove and Evelyn Hose, and nephew, Michael Grove.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Rose Hill Cemetery, 600 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor David Grove will officiate.
