BETTY MARCELA KUBAT, 87, formerly of Dunglen, Ohio, died on Friday, December 26, 2008 at Homewood of Williamsport. Born November 29, 1921 in Weirton, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian Mahoney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Kubat, Sr. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dillonvale, Ohio. She is survived by three daughters, Margiann Olszeski of Hagerstown, Sandy Steffl Moreland of Tempe, Arizona, and Vicki Jo Kubat of Eugene, Oregon; one son, Walter Kubat, Jr. of Bloomingdale, Ohio; two sisters, Shirley Carpenter of Smithfield, Ohio, and Martha Loftus of Steubenville, Ohio; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alberta Prager, and Margaret Douglas; and three brothers, Patrick Prager, Glenn Prager, and Eugene Mahoney. Graveside services will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens Chapel in Colerain, Ohio on Monday at 11:00 a. m. There will be no viewing.
