Betty Lou Henson (Lemaster), 80, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at Meritus Hospital.

Betty was born in West Chester, PA on April 21, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Luther Samuel Lemaster and Anna Mae (Bigler) Lemaster.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wank (Popeye) Henson, in 1998.

Betty graduated from Gettysburg High School. She worked many years sewing in shoe factories. She retired from Fil-Tec, Inc. in Cavetown, MD after working there for 20+ years.

She leaves behind two children, her daughter, Dawn Taylor and husband, Ernest, and her son, David Miley and wife, Karen, and her three grandchildren, Jordan Shank, Ashley Stambaugh and husband, Jeremy, and Matthew Miley.  She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and a very special cousin, Betty Dawson, of Exton, PA.

Betty was a member of the Redmen Lodge in Williamsport, MD, and former member of the Williamsport Moose.

Betty loved to play bingo and was known as Bingo Betty. She has special friends that she hung out with on bingo night and at the Redmen.

She liked spending time with family, having picnics, and eating blue crabs. As a family, we always joked and carried on, poking fun at each other. Laughter is the best medicine for sure.

She will be missed, and we'll carry on her legacy with our memories of her being Mom, Mamaw, and Memaw.

A visitation will be held at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD, on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 6-9pm.  Burial will be private.
