Obituary

Betty Turner Ford, 90, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village in Boonsboro, MD. Born in Myersville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Garfield and Ona Sarah (Warrenfeltz) Turner. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Gentile; and her second husband, Calvin Ford. She attended Maryland State School for the Blind, Overlea, MD. Betty lived and worked most of her life in the Baltimore, Annapolis Areas and for a short time in Hagerstown and Frederick. She retired from Woodlawn Social Security. She was a member of the Myersville United Methodist Church in Myersville, MD. She is survived by two sisters, Ruth Toms and Margaret Harne and husband, Virgil; stepdaughter, Alison Ford and daughter, Alexis; nephews, Ricky Toms and wife, Denise, Brent Toms and wife, Donna, Paul Frushour and wife, Bonnie, Douglas Frushour and wife, Lisa; step-nephew, Larry Harne and wife, Debbie; step-niece, Linda Miss and husband, Bill, and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held 2:30pm Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Chaplain John Sumpter will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Myersville, MD.
