BETTY JANE SHILLING EATON, of Keedysville, Maryland, died on September 19, 2007 at the Washington County Hospital. Born October 26, 1929 in Smithsburg, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Maynard Leon Shilling, and Orpha Louise Bowman Shilling. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Robert Lee Eaton, Jr. on December 22, 2002. She was of the Christian faith. She was retired from London Fog in Boonsboro where she was employed for twenty-three years. She is survived by her children, Robert Lee Eaton, III of Pennsylvania, Mary Lou Reed, and husband, David, of Hagerstown, Betty Louise Siler, and husband, William Sr., of Boonsboro, Maryland, Deborah Ann Eaton of Keedysville, Maryland, and Teresa She is also survived by one sister, Emma Sprankle, and husband, Harry, of Hagerstown; three brothers, Joseph Shilling, and wife, Beulah; Clyde Shilling, and wife, Winnie, William Shilling, and wife, Linda, all of Hagerstown; one sister-in-law, Della Maphis of Hagerstown. She has three grandsons, William Siler, Jr., James Allen Siler, and Robert Lee Eaton, III; two granddaughters, Brittany McCauley, and Amy Lizer; two great-granddaughters, Amber Marie Siler, and Skylar Marie Siler; one great-grandson, William Siler, III. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Otzelberger, Janice Monninger, and Isabelle Shilling; and two brothers, Merle Shilling and Robert Shilling; and one grandson, David Siler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Monday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Jerry L. Lowans will officiate. Burial will be Fairview Cemetery in Keedysville, Maryland. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 9 p. m.
