Betty Gloria Butts, 96, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. Born April 30, 1925 in Taylors Landing, MD, she was the daughter of the late Ida Mae (Shrader) and Harry H. Semler, Sr. She is survived by one daughter, Tina Hultslander (husband, Brian); one granddaughter, Courtney Starry-Hernandez (husband, Abe); two great grandsons; one sister, Nancy Cronise; one brother, Joseph Semler (wife, Darlene); and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Butts, in June 2010; two daughters, Rita Sue Butts and Octavia Starry; and one son, Melvin Butts, Jr.; six sisters and four brothers. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Monday, August 30, 2021, with Pastor Bill Divelbiss officiating, at Mountain View Cemetery, 299 E. Main Street, Sharpsburg, MD.
