Bettie Lou Conrad, 93, of Williamsport, MD, passed away at her home, Sunday, August 19, 2018. Born July 30, 1925 in Rouzerville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Marguerite Sease. She was preceded in death by her husband, Berkley H. Conrad in 2011 after 63 wonderful years of marriage. Bettie Lou graduated from Williamsport High School in 1943. She was a member of, and very involved with, The Hagerstown Church of the Brethren in Hagerstown, and a member of Womens Service Circle. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and feeding the birds and other small creatures that passed by her patio. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt. Bettie Lou is survived by her children, Berkley A. Conrad and wife, Estella, of Helena, MT, Ronald L. Conrad of Millis, MA, David L. Conrad and wife, Emily, of Bowie, MD, and Patricia A. Geiman and husband, Stephen D., of Hagerstown, MD; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Emma Jane and husband, Ronald Cline of Williamsport, MD, and Betty Ann Carroll of South Point, OH; and numerous wonderful nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Portia Sease, Mildred Wetzel, and Jane Wetzel; one brother, Roy Sease, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Carole Conrad. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington Street, Hagerstown. Pastors Tim and Audrey Hollenberg-Duffey will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, 15 S. Mulberry Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740; Homewood Foundation, PO Box 250, Williamsport, MD 21795; or by giving someone a "hug" as she was well known for and would always do.
