BERTHA VIRGINIA DELLINGER, 71, of 17204 Cloverleaf Road, Hagerstown, Md. died on Sunday, December 24, 2006 at Beverly Health Care in Hagerstown. Born February 1, 1935 in Washington County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Seburn Maugans. She retired from Angstrom Precision Instruments in 2000. She was a part-time arranger for Roostervane Florists. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Funkstown. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Lewis H. Dellinger, Jr.; three daughters, Vickie L. Dirting and husband Douglas B. of Hedgesville, West Virginia, Cathy L. Bishop and husband Dennis W. of Hagerstown, and Susan L. Cline and husband Ricky A. of Middletown, Md.; four grandchildren, Jennifer L. Dirting of Huntington, W. Va., Patrick S. Bishop of Hagerstown, Erin N. Cline and Jerrod A. Cline, both of Middletown, Md. and a niece, Lisa D. Reed of McConnellsburg, Pa. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rosalie Stotelmyer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, Md. Rev. Darrell L. Layman and Rev. Doris J. Doub will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to ALS Association-D.C.-Md.-Va.
