Beatrice "Irene" Embly, 89, of Hagerstown, MD, went to be with the Lord Monday, November 20, 2023, at Doey's House.

Born March 5, 1934, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Walter and Cora May (Hurd) Robinson. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leonard N. Embly Sr. of 42 years.

Beatrice previously worked for Pets Vacationland. She was a member of Benevola United Methodist Church for 62 years where she was a part of the Quilting Group, Apple Dumpling Gang and The Moving on Group.

Beatrice is survived by her four loving children, Cynthia Stevens, Leonard Embly, Jr. and wife, Michele, Dennis Embly and wife, Brenda, and Thomas Embly and wife, Kathy; six grandchildren, Ashley Shank and husband, Jeb, Jason Embly and wife, Megan, Christina Embly, Scott Stevens and wife, Hannah, Nicholas Stevens and wife, Kaitlin, and Miranda Embly; six great-grandchildren, Lydia Shank, Hayden Shank, Evelyn Shank, Lucas Stevens, Cari Stevens, and Alexander Stevens; sister, Hazel Schwab; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by sisters, Betsy Miller, Helen Grove, Rhoda Hykes, Betty Plank, and Joann Gouff, and granddaughter, Sara Stevens.

The funeral will be held at 10am on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Pastor Suzanne Jones will officiate.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 6-8pm.

Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
