Barbara Joan Stone, 80, of Hagerstown, passed away, Friday, November 24, 2023, at Williamsport Nursing Home.

Born September 30, 1943 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Pauline Dutrow Hawkins and John Pereschuk.

Barbara loved her family, playing board games with everyone, and doing crossword puzzles. She was an excellent cook but fudge was her masterpiece.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years and 3 months, Millard Stone; three daughters, Diana Renner, Brenda Rogers (Greg Weaver), and Melissa Renner (Curtis Long); one sister, Aleta Irving; eight brothers, John, Arthur, Gary, Earl, Cliff, Donald, Robert, and Tommy Pereschuk; six granddaughters, Amanda, Christina, Stephanie, LeeAnndra, Breanna, and Krisandra; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by five brothers, Kenny Pereschuk, Harold Pereschuk, Merrill Pereschuk, Larry Pereschuk, and Woody Hawkins.

Funeral services will be 10am Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Reverand J. Mark Curran will officiate. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 6-8pm.
