Barbara Grace Shipley, 76, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Friday morning, October 11, 2024, at her home.

Born December 7, 1947, in Washington, D. C., she was the daughter of the late Henry S. and Amy Amelia (Byam) Valk.

Barbara was a homemaker and helped at Christian Life Destiny.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Shipley, Jr.

She is survived by one daughter, Zaraa Hayat; one son, Robert Shipley, III; half-brother, Henry S. Valk, Jr.; five grandchildren, Miciah Asher Shipley, Gabrielle MacDonald, Olivia MacDonald, Malcolm MacDonald, and Sophia MacDonald.

Services will be held at 5pm Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Paul Black will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
