BARBARA ELLEN NEWHOUSE, 77, of Fountain Head, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Friday September 7, 2012 at Meritus Medical Center. Born December 13, 1934 of Ypsilanti, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Bayard B. and Agnes Kenworthy Struble. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren Paul "Skip" Newhouse on October 11, 2004. She was a member of Church of the Holy Trinity. She is survived by two sons, Dirk A. Newhouse and wife, Pam of Ligonier, PA and Kevin P. Newhouse and companion, Daniel V. Gossard of Hagerstown; one sister, Judy Trenthan of Traverse City, Michigan; three granddaughters, Elizabeth and Sarah Newhouse and Jessica Hinze. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Townsend and one brother, Robert Struble. Private graveside will be held at the conveniences of the family. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 17805 Oak Ridge Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland. The Rev. Marilyn E. Washburn will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorial donations may be made to Church of the Holy Trinity.
