Barbara A. (Thomas) Martin, 80, of State Line, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 31, 2022, under the care of Hospice of Franklin County with family by her side.

Born February 6, 1942 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert R. Thomas and Mable Pauline (Everly) Thomas.

During her career, she worked for Sunshine Biscuit Company, OSI, Hagerstown Kitchens, and retired from Citicorp in 2004.

Barb absolutely loved to work outside. She was always ready to help with anything at any time. Her first reply when called on the phone was always, "What do you need?" She did all things with a spirit of excellence and humility. One of her greatest pleasures was spending time with her great-great-nephews, "the boys".

She is survived by one brother, Richard Thomas, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend of 61 years, James "Jim" Martin; her parents; five brothers, Gilbert, Charles, John, Jackie, and Ronald Thomas; and two sisters, Cleo Rogers and Ethel Walker.

The family will receive friends and family for a viewing and visitation at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD, on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 11am. The service will immediately follow at 12pm with Pastor Joe Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
