Barbara Ellen (Bobbie) Knepper died Friday November 29, 2024 at Somerford House and Place, Hagerstown Maryland. Born March 6, 1944 in Quantico VA, she was the daughter of Martin L. and Dorothy (Beard) Weagley. She grew up in Hagerstown, where she spent most of her adult life.

After graduating from South Hagerstown High School in 1962, she attended St Joseph School of Nursing and Maryland Medical Secretarial School, both in Baltimore. Barbara began her career as a medical secretary for physicians in private practice before joining the Washington County Health Department where she was a Certified Addiction Counselor Supervisor. She retired from the Health Department as Program Coordinator of Behavioral Health Outpatient Services.

Barbara is predeceased by three husbands: Jack A. Chambers, William H. Koelle, and Edward L. Knepper, as well as three stepchildren Jeri (Chambers) Jones, Chad Knepper and Michelle (Knepper) Deming. She is survived by stepchildren Nancy Chambers, Scott Chambers (Judy), Craig Chambers (Ann), Barbara Chambers Leaman (David), and Patrick Knepper, along with eleven step-grandchildren, and special friend Becca Hogamier.

Graveside services for the family will be held 2pm Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
