Audrey Moore Spencer, 81, of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 24, 2016, with her children by her side. Born February 23, 1935 in Flushing, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Anne Jones. She is survived by her four children, son, Edward Moore, daughter, Patricia DiPlacido and husband, Danny, son, Guy (Buddy) Moore and wife, Dee and son, J. Kelly Moore; grandchildren, Abbey Moore, Samantha Moore, Kelsey Moore, Zachary Moore, Christopher DiPlacido, Matthew DiPlacido, Kyle Moore, J. Casey Moore, Kayte Moore; great-grandchildren, Madison DiPlacido, Rylan Moore, Isaiah DiPlacido, Nyla DiPlacido and Lilly Moore; her companion Ted Daigle; her twin brother, Harry Jones and sister, Theresa Heath, numerous nieces and nephews and her faithful dog, Joey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Spencer, grandson, Ryan Kelly Moore, former husband, Guy A. Moore, Jr. and her sister, Helen Jones McNeil. Audrey was a loving mother and grandmother. She was outgoing and never met a stranger. Audrey didn't think twice about helping anyone in need, and had a tremendous love for animals. Her Irish humor lit up a room wherever she was. She attended Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, in Hagerstown and loved telling people about Jesus. Audrey was a member of the American Legion Post 42 Auxiliary where she served as president for several years before stepping down. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday, December 30, 2016 with Rev. Dr. Jerry Cooper officiating at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the funeral home. Interment will be Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg, MD.
