ARVIN GARFIELD LIDIE, 75, of 210 Fairground Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Golden Living Center. Born September 25, 1933 in West Virginia, he was the son of the late Arthur Butts and May Anderson Lidie. He was employed with Hydro Conduit for thirty-five years. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. Lidie of Hagerstown; one daughter, Lisa Lidie of West Virginia; one son, David Lidie of West Virginia; four stepdaughters, Deborah F. Dagenhart, Susy Swope, and Trudy Cummings, all of Hagerstown, and Bonnie Wilson of Martinsburg, West Virginia; one stepson, Joe Swope of Keedysville, Maryland; three sisters, Virginia Zimmerman, Nancy L. Gluck, and Jeannette L. Rickett, all of Hagerstown; one brother, David E. Lidie of Hagerstown; six grandchildren, and five greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Doug Swope. Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing.
