Anthony G. "Moe" Mozingo, 78, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Hagerstown. Born July 16, 1938 in Hagerstown, he was the step-son of Annie Esther Mozingo of Brookdale Assisted Living in Hagerstown, and the late Grandville T. Mozingo. Anthony is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Shirley A. Demmitt Mozingo; son, Anthony Michael Mozingo; and daughter, Kathy Mozingo Ganoe and husband, Jack; grandsons, Bryant James Litton and wife, Jennifer of Pensacola, FL, Christopher Michael Mozingo of Hagerstown; and his great grandsons, Parker and Conner Litton, who were the pride and joy of his life. There wasn't a day that went by that he didn't have a special word about his great grandsons. He is also survived by his sister Sharron Feigley and husband, Jim, and their family. Anthony was a 1956 graduate of Hagerstown High School, and joined the U.S. Marines shortly afterwards. He was employed by the Western Maryland Railroad, out of Baltimore, MD, City of Hagerstown Light Plant, and retired from Eastalcoa 98/99 in Buckeystown, MD. He volunteered as a fireman for Western Enterprise in the early 1970's and helped with the McCrory and Newberry fires. Anthony enjoyed making people laugh and joking around. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. His family was the bright spot of his life and he will be sadly missed. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. The Rev. Lawrence Adamczyk will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home. The family requests memorial donations to help defray medical expenses to be made to Kathy Ganoe, 47 W.
