Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Michael Domenico, 82, passed away on February 23, 2026, after a long illness, at his home in Hagerstown, Maryland. Tony was born on September 28, 1943, in Martinsburg, West Virginia to the late Francis Edward Domenico, Sr. and Elizabeth Florence (Tosi) Domenico.

Tony graduated from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic School in Martinsburg, West Virginia in 1961. He worked for the FBI in the Fingerprinting Division and then pursued a career in the insurance/investment field with Acacia, Transamerica and Ameritas. Tony was active in the Knights of Columbus and Prince George's Life Underwriters Association of which he served as past President. He was a member of the US Air National Guard stationed in Martinsburg, West Virginia from 1964 to 1970. Tony was an avid New York Yankees fan and some of his favorite players were Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, and Billy Martin. He was heartbroken when he found out his mother had thrown away all of his Yankee baseball cards.

Tony is predeceased by his brothers, Francis Edward Domenico, Jr., Camille A. Domenico, and Peter R. Domenico, and his sister, Julia A. Domenico.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Judith, his daughters, Stephanie A. Krupa (Michael) and Jennifer L. Buckmaster (Tim), and five grandchildren, Alexis A. Krupa, Gabrielle L. Krupa, Olivia E. Krupa, Ryan M. Buckmaster, and Emily P. Buckmaster. He is also survived by his brothers, Joseph B. Domenico (Kathy) and Jerry S. Domenico (Deborah), and his sisters, Dorothy C. Hess (Pat) and Elizabeth M. Domenico (Charles), along with numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends are welcomed for a visitation on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 10:00am – 11:00am at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Avenue in Hagerstown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation, beginning at 11:00am at the church. Msgr. J. Bruce Jarboe will officiate. Interment will be private.
