Anna Marie (Welty) Nunemaker, of Hagerstown, died March 9, 2020, at Doeys House in Hagerstown, MD. Born January 31, 1925, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Frank L. and Bertha I. (Hansrote) Welty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn L. Nunemaker. Anna and Glenn served as pioneer missionaries in Niger, West Africa from 1946 to 1979. Anna made her home in Hagerstown from 1979 until her death. She was an active member of Evangel Baptist Church, Broadfording Road. Both Anna and Glenn continued to serve in ministries in their church and at the Hagerstown Hope Center until their deaths. She is survived by her two natural sons, David G. (France) and Stephen J. (Greencastle, PA), and her adoptive son, Samuel Djibo (Niger, W. Africa); five grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.
