Anita C. (Hose Peck) Truitt, 67, of Hancock, MD, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital in Harrisburg, PA.

Born March 25, 1957 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Russell Leroy and Hilda Marie (Shives) Hose.

Anita attended South Hagerstown High School. She received her diploma from Hagerstown Community College and later earned her CNA certification.

She attended Maranatha Brethren Church.

She was a huge animal lover and enjoyed taking walks with her husband and dog.

Anita is survived by her husband of 25 years, Harvey Truitt; her daughters, Stacy Clifford, Angel Rodriguez, and April Hummel; her sons, Jobe Peck and Russell Peck; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brother, Darrin Hose and wife, Traci; her sister, Constance Martin; nephews, Derrick Martin, Kyle Hose, and David Hose; and her best friend of 50 years, Judy Peck.

The funeral will be held at 1pm on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Neil Suders will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 6-8pm.
