ANDREW JACKSON JONES, 18, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Monday, February 9, 2009 in Smithsburg, Maryland. Born December 22, 1990 in Rockville, Maryland, he was the son of Jonathan Jones Sr. of Rockville, Maryland, and Sandra Marie Fowler of Hagerstown. He was a senior at Smithsburg High School. He played on the varsity football team. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Natasha Jones of Dickerson, Maryland, and Cassandra Jones of Hagerstown; four brothers, Jonathan Jones, Jr. of Hagerstown, Michael Jones of Walkersville, Maryland, and Steven Jones and Allen Jones, both of New Market, Maryland; maternal grandparents, Robert Fowler Sr., and wife, Cynthia Fowler, of Frederick, Maryland; Edith Fowler and Clarence Craver, of Dickerson, Maryland; and paternal grandparent, Joseph Jones, Sr. of Rockville, Maryland. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Friday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Bishop Jay Williams Jr. and Rev. Keith Daye will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p. m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Minnich Funeral Home.
