Alma Lucinda McKenzie, 84, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at home. Born January 30, 1932 in PA, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Marie (Walck) Clevenger. Alma was a loving mother, a social butterfly, and her passion was helping others. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where she volunteered at the Food Bank and the Clothes Closet. Alma previously worked as a billing clerk in the accounting department of Eyerly's store, and later at the Hagerstown Shoe Factory. Then for 41 years, she was employed with Washington County Board of Education as a school bus driver. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Paul McKenzie, Jr.; three sons, Paul McKenzie, III of Falling Waters, WV, Roger McKenzie and wife, Deanna, of Blue Springs, MO, and Brad McKenzie and wife, Jill, of Hagerstown; two brothers, Ernie Clevenger of Smithsburg, and Earl Clevenger of Marlowe, WV; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Clevenger and Ester Long; and one brother, Glen Clevenger. Services will be held 11am Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Curtis C. Ehrgott will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
