ALMA ALICE HOLLAR, 91, of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital. Born September 19, 1914 in Cherry Run, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Newton and Nettie Katharine Manning Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Richard Hollar, Sr. She was an avid bingo player. She is survived by five daughters, Jackie Barr, Alma Rea Kline, and Libby Swain, all of Hagerstown, Gloria McCormac of Sacramento, California, and Patricia Jordan of Martinsburg, West Virginia; two sons, Thomas Richard Hollar, Jr. of Williamsport, Maryland, and Gary Hollar of Hagerstown; one sister, Luvene F. Stumbaugh of Williamsport, Maryland; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six sisters, and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Monday at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Mr. James Kline will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 9 p. m.
