ALICE LOUISE REID, 87, of Greencastle, PA, and formerly of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born November 1, 1926 in New Philadelphia, OH, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Mary Paloncy. She worked as a secretary, accounting assistant and as a manager for High's Dairy Store before retiring. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by husband of twenty five years, Dr. Curtis P. Pietro (died in 1972), and then her second husband of twenty five years, James E. Reid (died in 1998). Alice is survived by three daughters, Carol Lilly, Sue Lescalleet and husband, Jeff, Joyce Michael and husband, Troy; one son, Curtis P. Pietro and wife, Sara; two sisters, Ayleen Pastor and husband, Keith, Mary Wilson and husband, Marion; one brother, Elmer Paloncy and wife Mary Ann; Eight grandchildren, Alicia Chilton, Freddie Roberts, Dennis Geyer, Angie Freeman, Ray Geyer Jr., Philip Pietro, Kelly Pietro and Ava Pietro; and one step-grandson, Kris Lescalleet; twelve great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at 11:00 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Randall Reid will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family wants to extend its sincerest appreciation for the loving and compassionate care given to Alice by Lutheran Home Care and Hospice Inc..
