Adolph David "Bud" Jones, 91, of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Doey's House.

Born May 2, 1932 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late David F. Jones, Sr. and Louise (Boward) Jones.

Adolph worked at Danzer Metal Works for 42 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Hagerstown and attended St. Mary Catholic School. He was a member of the American Legion and the Redman's Club and for many years volunteered at Washington County Hospital/Meritus.

Adolph was an avid football and baseball fan watching the old Baltimore Colts, the Ravens, and the Orioles. He enjoyed fishing and working on old cars and trucks. His favorite TV programs were old westerns with John Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Norma Jean (Pearce) Jones on July 16, 1995; two sisters, Patricia Snodderly and Constance Grimsley; one brother, William C. Jones; and a close companion, Shirley Plotner.

Adolph is survived by his five children; Gregory L. Jones, and wife, Kimberly, of Hagerstown, Carol A. Litten, and husband, Donald, of Hagerstown, Michael A. Jones, and wife, Debra, of Hagerstown, Paula P. Lapole, and husband, Christopher, of Hagerstown, and Jeffrey L. Jones, and wife Suzanne, of Shepherdstown, WV; one brother, David F. Jones, Jr., of Hagerstown; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; many nieces and nephews; and a special first cousin, Dr. Ronald Keyser.

Services will be held 11am Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Rev. Betty Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 6-8pm.
