Obituary

Elder Adesanya Segun Osiname, affectionately known as Segun to his loved ones and friends, was a beacon of unwavering faith and boundless love. Born on May 20, 1946, in the verdant landscapes of Ogere Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria, Segun was a testament to the grace that guides one's journey from humble beginnings to a life rich in spiritual wealth. On November 10, 2025, Segun was called to his heavenly home from Hagerstown, MD, leaving behind a legacy of selflessness that echoed the very essence of his Christian faith. He departed from this world as he lived, gently and peacefully, succumbing to natural causes.

Segun's life was a living sermon, an embodiment of the love he preached. With every step, he sowed seeds of kindness, and with every word, he cultivated hope. He leaves behind a family that was the very core of his heart: his devoted wife, Victoria Toyin Osiname, who was his partner in both faith and life's journey; his cherished children, Omolara Oyemade, Adeola Obawemimo, Titi Oni-Daniel, Akinwinuola Osiname, and Obafemi Osiname, were his pride and joy, the living testaments to his loving guidance and selfless dedication.

Segun's story is one of triumph, a narrative of a man who, through the strength of his convictions and the depth of his faith, impacted the lives of all who knew him. He was a pillar in his community, a man whose actions spoke louder than his words, but when he did speak, his words were like a soft, steady rain that nourished the souls of the parched. As a Christian, he walked in the footsteps of the Savior, never faltering in his commitment to exemplify Christ's love in every aspect of his life. He was the driving force that brought the Deeper Life Ministry and Mountain of Fire ministries in Ogere Remo, Ogun State.

To know Segun was to witness a daily miracle—the miracle of a life lived in absolute surrender to God's will. It was a life that inspired, a life that encouraged, a life that stood as a testament to what it means to live not for oneself, but for others. He was a mentor to many, a friend to all, and a constant source of comfort and wisdom. His laughter was a balm, his presence a fortress, and his prayers a shield.

As we gather to celebrate the homegoing of Elder Adesanya Segun Osiname, let us not dwell in the valley of sorrow but rather climb the mountain of gratitude. We give thanks for the time we were blessed to share with him, for the lessons he taught us, and for the love he freely gave. Let us honor his memory by living as he did—with open hearts, open hands, and an unwavering belief in the goodness of the Lord.

Today, we bid farewell to a man who was more than just a name or a face in the crowd. Elder Adesanya Segun Osiname was a cherished chapter in the book of our lives, a chapter that we will revisit with fondness and reverence. As he joins the heavenly choir, we are comforted by the belief that his life's melody will forever resonate in the halls of eternity.

In the words of Scripture, "Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your master." (Matthew 25:23). Segun has indeed entered into that joy, and while we will miss him dearly, we rejoice in the knowledge that he is at peace, resting in the arms of his Savior. Let us carry his legacy forward, living each day with purpose, love, and a faith that can move mountains.
