ADELE MARY HEROLD, 89, 17030 Oakleigh Way, Hagerstown, Maryland, died Sunday March 15, 2009 at Homewood at Williamsport. Born September 27, 1919 in New York City, New York, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Helen Pawlowski Zombek. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Herold in 1996. She was employed with Pfizer Pharmaceutical in Brooklyn, NY for twenty-five years She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by two step daughters, Barbara Pile of Alaska and Patricia Emener of New Jersey; two step sons, Michael Herold of Indiana and Richard Herold of California; three sisters, Helen Nikon of Williamsport, MD, Wanda Cummings of Long Island, NY and April Ann Russo of Central Islip, NY; two brothers, George Zombek of Brooklyn, NY and Edward Zombek of Coconut Creek, FL; and grandchildren. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland. The Rev. Christopher Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:00 p.m.
