WILBUR DANIEL HENSON, 83, of 105 South Vermont Street, Williamsport, Maryland, died on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-five years, Bessie E. Henson on June 22, 2008. Born March 24, 1925 in Clear Spring, Maryland, he was the son of the late Daniel Daley and Cora Etta Hose Henson. He was employed for ten years with the Town of Williamsport at the Riverview Cemetery. He is survived by four daughters, Patty Rutherford, Wilma Moats, and Cora High, all of Williamsport, Maryland, two sons, George Henson of Hagerstown, and Henry Henson of Williamsport, Maryland; one sister, Ethel Rauti of Consent, Michigan.; twenty-three grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Richard A. Henson, and Wilbur D. Henson, Jr.; seven sisters, Violet Clopper, Dora Myers, Eliza Tosten, Frances Mills, Catherine Snodderly, Beulah Snodderly, and Baby Betty; and five brothers, Woodrow Henson, Bernard Henson, Cletus Henson, Fred Henson, and Marty Henson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Saturday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Robert Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Shanktown Cemetery in Big Pool, Maryland. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 7 to 9 p. m.
