SUELLYN "Sue" (GRUBBS) CLINE, 66, went to be with the Lord after a battle of liver disease on July 22, 2015. She is in a better place surrounded by her loved ones who have gone before her. Sue graduated from Smithsburg High School in 1967, and went directly to Scott Beauty School in Martinsburg, WV where she graduated in 1968 as a cosmetologist. She worked in several salons in the area. Sue also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Ravenwood Nursing Home. She also worked as an EMT with the Smithsburg Ambulance Co. when it first began. This was special to her because it was a father-daughter team with her father, Stanley Grubbs as her driver. In 1989, Sue went to work for Washington County Hospital as a phlebotomist for 22 years. She also worked for Smithsburg Family Practice and Dr. Gloria Pura. Most recently, Sue worked at the Sylvania Lab as a medical secretary/phlebotomist. Due to declining health she recently retired to enjoy her rescue dog (Bella), family and friends. Sue is survived by her husband of 44 years, Eddie Cline, whom she married in 1971; one daughter, Misti Dawn Hurd and special friend, Jeremy Garnand; one grandson who was the love of her life, Brycen Edward Shatzer; one sister, Nancy Lee Russell Jenkins; one niece, Tammy Lynn Russell and wife, Kris; one nephew, David Lee Russell and wife, Kim, and their children, Hannah and Derek. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Dorothy Darr Grubbs; and one son, Mark Jason Cline. Sue was an avid book reader, and always had one in her hand. She loved to go to NASCAR races, and she loved to camp. She had a passion for all animals and had many dogs, cats, rabbits and horses over the years. In keeping with Sue's wishes, her family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8pm on Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. Hagerstown, MD. A graveside service will be held at Cavetown Cemetery, 11 am, Monday, July 27, 2015. Pastor John Koontz will officiate.
