RITA SHIRLEY HOLDEN, 78, of Hagerstown, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at NMS Healthcare in Hagerstown, MD. Born October 23, 1936 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Stuart and Carrie May Hurley Blevins. Rita was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Rita's family always came first. She loved hosting family get-togethers. Rita was an avid gardener and enjoyed taking care of her flower beds. She was previously employed with Morton International in Ogden, Utah and Martins Food Market in Hagerstown. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Holden Sr. who passed away in 2008. Rita is survived by one daughter, Crystal Severe and husband Monty of Pendleton, Oregon; one son, Jack Holden II and wife Kristin of Hagerstown; one sister, Clara Stouffer of Greencastle, PA; five grandchildren, Kelly Ring, Ashley Holden, Jennifer Holden, Sterling Severe and Julia Severe; and six great grandchildren. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
