RICHARD LEON HARBAUGH, 76, of 1203 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, November 4, 2010. Born July 20, 1934 in Washington County, Maryland, he was the son of the late Agnes Sophia Bryan. He was employed with Western Maryland Railroad/CSX for forty-three years. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Hagerstown. He was married to Claudine (Vance) Harbaugh for fifty-two years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Julia Mentzer and husband Dwayne; another daughter, Shelly Harmon; four grandchildren: Megan Davis, Caitlin Harbaugh, Taylor and Bria Harmon; and two great-grandchildren: Max Davis and Memphis Schill. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nettie Stine; and his brother, Donald Harbaugh. Richard was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and friend, and will always be loved and missed by many. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ of Hagerstown, 10014 White Hall Road, Hagerstown, Maryland 21742. The Rev. Gerrard R. Fess will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown. Family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown on Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland 21742.
