RICHARD LEE MCPHERSON, Sr., 68, of Clear Spring, Md., died on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital. Born August 3, 1940 in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of the late Joseph Henry and Pauline Virginia Stevens McPherson. He was a carpenter by trade for forty years. He attended New Life Christian Ministries in Clear Spring, Md. He was a member of Williamsport Red Men #84. He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Darlene Reigel McPherson; one daughter, Darla Irene McCauley of Big Pool, Md.; four sons, Richard Lee McPherson, Jr. of Clear Spring, Dennis Henry McPherson of Hagerstown, Glenn Howard McPherson of Clear Spring, and Donald Wayne McPherson of Williamsport, Md.; three sisters, Phyllis Thomas and JoAnne "Daps" Kelbaugh, both of Hagerstown, and Connie Bowman of Boonsboro, Md.; one brother, Howard McPherson of Hagerstown; eleven grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Frances McPherson, and two brothers, Joseph McPherson, and Robert McPherson. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p. m. Tuesday at New Life Christian Ministries, 12624 Trinity Church Drive, Clear Spring, Md. 21722. Rev. Ken R. Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown, on Monday from 7 to 9 p. m.
