MARY ELIZABETH DAVIS, 86, formerly of Sharpsburg, Maryland, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Williamsport Nursing Home. Born October 4, 1926, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Mary Roth Clifford. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Davis in 1978. She retired in 1990 from Maryland Ribbon Company. She was of the Protestant faith. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann Grice of Glyndon, Md.; a son, John E. Davis, Jr. of Falling Waters, W. Va.; a sister Florence Clifford of Baltimore, Md.; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nioma Porter and 8 brothers. Services will be Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, Md. The Rev. Mike Simane will officiate.
