MARIE ELIZABETH DAVIS, 87, of Julia Manor Nursing Home and formerly of 908 Rose Hill Avenue, Hagerstown, Md., died on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the Washington County Hospital. Born January 19, 1919 in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Almeda McCarthy Custer. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Davis who died in 1981. She was of the protestant faith. She was employed with Maryland Ribbon for 28 years, retiring in 1984. She is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Blanche Frailey, Emily Zombro and Virginia Cook and a brother, William Custer. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the MINNICH FUNERAL HOME, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. The Rev. Jack Ewald will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
