JEAN STOTTLEMYER, 88, of 521 Liberty Street, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at her home. Born December 9, 1923, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Annie Brush Creighton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Stottlemyer, Sr. in 2002. She was a seamstress and homemaker, who cared for her family. She is survived by three sons, Ralph Stottlemyer, Jr., and wife, Sharon, Doug Stottlemyer, Sr., and wife, Teresa, and Jerry Stottlemyer, all of Hagerstown; one brother, George Creighton of Belfast, Northern Ireland; three grandchildren, Douglas Stottlemyer, Jr., Dustin Stottlemyer, and Mindi Lynn Flook, all of Hagerstown; two great-grandchildren, Aspen and Riliegh, both of Hagerstown; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Sara Jane Creighton; and one brother, Andrew Creighton. The family would like to thank the Meritus Medical Center, staff on the fifth floor, Dr. Ernest Uzicanin, Dr. William Su, and Hospice of Washington County for all the loving care they gave to Jean. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 6:00 p. m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Edward L. Poling will officiate.
