HARRY EDWARD ANTHONY, 73, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Shook Home in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Born in Hagerstown, Maryland, he was the son of late Thomas W. Anthony, Sr. and Clara E. Shank Anthony. He retired in 1999 from Maintowoc Grove, in Shade Grove, PA, after thirty-three years of service. Harry was a member of Park Road Bible Church in Hagerstown, MD. He volunteered as an elder and assisted with nursing home visitations. Harry always put his family and church first. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Roselyn "Rose" Anthony; two daughters, Carole Ann Gahan and husband, Jeff, St. Thomas, PA and Brenda Sue Anthony of Hagerstown; two sisters, JoAnne Harshman and husband, Ronnie of Hagerstown, MD and Janet Rollins and husband, Keith of Winterville, NC; two brothers, Thomas W. Anthony, Jr. and wife, Yvonne and Richard Lee Anthony and wife, Louise all of Hagerstown, MD; two granddaughters, Laura Gahan and Heather Gahan. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Earl Anthony and John Howard Anthony. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Pastor Ronald Key will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
