GARY WARREN CARTER, SR., 73, Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, West Virginia. Born September 3, 1939, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Warren Harding and Anna Louise Ebersole Carter. He was an avid sports fan, and loved to be involved in all activities with his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Catherine Bohrer Carter; one son, Gary Warren Carter, Jr. of Hagerstown; a granddaughter, Janessa Watkins, and her husband, Dwight, of Spring Mills, West Virginia; a grandson, Joshua Carter, and his wife, Natasha, of Wilson, North Carolina;; and two great-grandchildren, Cameron Watkins and Harper Watkins. He was preceded in death by one sister. There will be no services or viewing. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
