ELIZABETH SAUM, 95. Formerly of Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the Shenandoah Center in Charles Town, West Virginia. Born July 19, 1916, in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William Luther and Nellie Mae Barger Shank. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian F. Saum on October 26, 2001. She is survived by one daughter, Juliana E. Holland and Tex Sowell of Ranson, West Virginia; granddaughters, Nicole Whitworth and husband Richard A. Whitworth Jr. and Ramona Lewis and husband J. Lewis; three great-grandchildren, William L. Whitworth, Allen L. Whitworth, and Corrine Lewis; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by one sister, Ramona Eavey. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a. m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Randall Reid will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p. m.
