Eleanor Romero, 64, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018, at Meritus Medical Center. Born September 23, 1953 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Gabrel and Aida (Munoz) Fernandez. Eleanor was a member of A Music City Blue Star Moms. She was a cancer survivor. She was a very strong woman who loved her "brats" and will be dearly missed. She would want you to please take with you: "Kiss My Grits" and "Imma Pinch Your Hinny". She is survived by four daughters, Eliana Mahmoud and husband Adil, Lenora Vazquez and husband Elvin, Neida Leonardo, and Kristina Rajabzadeh; three sons, Julio Romero and wife, Rebecca, Oscar Romero and fiance, Nannette, and Carlos Cabrera and wife, Frances; five sisters, Aida Martinez, Iris Hendrick, Helen Marrero, Rosemary Andrich, and Belinda Padilla; four brothers, Carlos Marrero, Jose "Tito" Ramos, John Garcia, Daniel Ramos, and Felix "Junny" Garcia; 20 grandchildren, Omar, Aida, Samira, Julius, Alisha, Jayleen, Chelsea, Mitchell Jr., Jose, Marissa, Jeremy, Maiya, Jovanni, Milanni, Jocelyn, Zackery, Dee Jay, Alexander, Autumn, and Kimberly; and four great grandchildren, Curtis III, Ulayni, Emilia, and Ethan. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her daughter, Zoila Cabrera. A Memorial Service will be held 11am, Friday, September 7, 2018 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Bishop William Roberts will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 6 to 8pm.
