DONALD ANDREW ROBINSON, 78, of Hagerstown, Md., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at his home. Born in the Clear Spring area, he was the son of the late John Henry and Mary Esther Rubeck Robinson. He was a farmer in his early years in the Beaver Creek area on White Hall Road and in his later years he retired from Certain-Teed Products Corp. in Williamsport in 1995. He was a member of Evangel Baptist Church, Hagerstown, Md. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sarah K. (Bartles) Robinson. He was the beloved father of his five children, daughters, Brenda Barlow and husband Brian, JoAnn Robinson, Patsy Branch and husband Michael, Donna Spickler and husband Todd, all of the Hagerstown area; and son, Donald Robinson, Jr. and wife Karen of Clear Spring. He also has eight grandchildren, Brandon Barlow, Brianna Pryor, Matthew Branch, Adam Branch, Amber McSherry, Dustin McSherry, Andrew Robinson and Dylan Robinson; and one step grandchild, Mandi Spickler. He is also survived by two sisters, Ruth Moser of Williamsport and Marie Churchey of Sharpsburg and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by eight brothers, Lauren Robinson, Paul Robinson, Boyd Robinson, Fred Robinson, Harry Robinson, Earl Robinson, Leroy Robinson and John Robinson and three sisters, Ella Louise Fritz, Anna Fritz and Dorothy Snyder. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a. m. at Evangel Baptist Church, 17922 Broadfording Road, Hagerstown. Pastors Ronald Faith and Richard Heckman will officiate. Burial will be in Broadfording Cemetery. Don's family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard and at Evangel Baptist Church, one hour prior to the service.
