CALVIN MAHLON (BUD) SHANK, JR., 71, of 551 Frederick Street, Hagerstown, Maryland died on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the home of his sister. Born September 3, 1936 in Boonsboro, Maryland, he was the son of the late Calvin Mahlon Shank, Sr. and Edith Mae Bowers Shank. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Ellen Shank on January 3, 2004. He served in the U. S. Army. He was retired from Pangborn Corporation. He formerly attended Black Rock Bible Church. He was a member of the Moose, and the American Antique Car Association. He is survived by five sisters, Jean Doyle, Patsy Chaney, Audrey Way, Connie Jenkins and Joyce Robison, all of Hagerstown; one brother, Gaither Shank of Funkstown, Maryland; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Annabelle Stewart, and Shirley Smith; and one brother, Donald Shank. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Monday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Robert V. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the American Legion, Morris Frock Post 42. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 to 9 p. m.
